Restaurant Hohe Schule in Herborn

I was on 09/15. As a “hotel guest” accommodated there. This location doesn't deserve the name hotel! Very impersonal reception by the owner. Insufficient parking space. Staff is very ned, but suffers from the boss! No service at the reception, no reference to WiFi, restaurant, and unfriendly reference to breakfast FROM 7 AM! Ned earlier. Sufficient room But nothing special

Slightly limited choice on the menu, especially the dessert menu. But there is absolutely nothing wrong with the quality of the food. Nice atmosphere, friendly service. A bit expensive.

Nice location, but price / performance ratio is not right. Owner tries to create an elitist atmosphere, seems embarrassing.

Especially in summer, the courtyard for sitting outside is beautiful. Furnishing is a matter of taste ... rather historical atmosphere. High class food and very good. Portions could be a little bigger. Service competent and friendly.

I liked it very badly in this location. Absolutely not to be recommended. The prices for this "food" and the drink prices gave the rest of the whole thing. Ouch.

Absolutely overpriced. A bottle of Jägermeister for € 70 and a small shot glass for € 13 !!! effrontery

Everything was fine, breakfast was great, nothing to complain!

Food was delicious, service was super friendly. Had duck breast with Schupfnudel. The not shown on the menu mixed appetizer plate was very good.

The building is one of the attractions of Herborn and is definitely worth a look. Restaurant and hotel we did not visit.

We spent two nights there and the environment is really nice. However, the hotel does not keep what it promises and we did not find the value for money in order. The rooms are large, but carelessly decorated. When we noticed that the minibar in the room was broken, we noticed immediately. We only got them information that at the weekend no electricians could be reached. Although the entire house was not booked, no one came up with the idea to offer us another room. For 112 € we would have expected. The booked breakfast was ok, but nothing special. The staff are all very friendly and hard-working. That does not justify the price. We also ate dinner in the restaurant. Nice atmosphere, but also the price / performance ratio was not right. Too bad.

To avoid: the location is not bad but the room is very dated with a very uncomfortable bedding, blackout curtains and too small blankets not hot enough. Review: on the 2 nights where I stayed, I was awake every 2 hours. A 79 € / night the quality / price is not.

Very nice atmosphere, first class service, the food was excellent at all - about 30 - visits. Definitely recommended.

Especially in summer an absolute highlight; you can nowhere better sit in Herborn than here. The atmosphere is really great. Good quality of food and drinks. Friendly service.

The courtyard is beautiful for outdoor sitting. Locally not modern but very comfortable. Food in high class and very good. Service competent and friendly. Historic atmosphere as it is actually an old high school. You can also wonderful wedding birthday or similar. celebrate.

I've been a guest in the "Hohe Schule" restaurant for a number of years, but only on special personal occasions to make myself happy. A "Rosa Prosecco" as an aperitif and the special evening begins for me. Even studying the menu is a pleasure. The atmosphere in the restaurant is elegant, exquisite and yet familiar. You can feel the commitment of the host, who is wholeheartedly behind his business and for whom the satisfied guest is the central concern. The service is always attentive, friendly and very qualified. The cuisine is exceptional. You can feel the perfection of a committed chef. I have never been disappointed. The eye can also eat here, because Lucullian art is combined with a loving set. I have no hesitation in recommending the "Hohe Schule" restaurant.

Nice evening spent with four people. Food was perfect as always, in advance there was a small bread basket with homemade dipping and butter. Service is polite and courteous. We like the ambience very well as it is very cozy. Soundscape very pleasant, so that you can talk well. Pre-ordering does not always have to be, but critical on public holidays. For us always gladly again!
